Transsexual model Lea T applauded at Brazil Fashion Week

Transsexual model Lea T, received a warm welcome yesterday at Brazil Fashion Week. Walking for designer Alexandre Herchcovitch, Lea T's hit appearance ended in her being swarmed by the paparazzi post-show. One over-enthusiastic photographer ended up kicking a member of her entourage, before Lea could escape the mob. 

Lea T fled Brazil to Italy, due to issues around her sexual orientation. She has modelled for the likes of Givenchy and has appeared nude in French Vogue. One of her latest appearances was on the cover of LOVE magazine making out with Kate Moss as part of their adrogynous issue (photo below). As the industry's first transsexual supermodel, Lea T is leading the way for many other transsexual models doing something that has never been done before. Her courage, in what no doubt has been a difficult journey, is worth commending. Rock on Lea!
