Shubh Diwali!...from Louis Vuitton?

This December (to mid January), Louis Vuitton Stores worldwide, will be celebrating Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights. Traditional Hindu Motifs will be displayed in all 454 Louis Vuitton Stores across the globe.

This is the first time in the store's history that it will be celebrating one particular festival on this scale. I think Diwali is an interesting choice of festival and I am glad to see LV getting Desi. Time will tell if this is yet another fashion gimmick but I am hoping that there is some sincerity behind this action.

Diwali signifies the victory of light over darkness/ good over evil. It is an official holiday in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Mauritius, Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, Suriname, Malaysia, Singapore and Fiji.
